Democrat Devastation

State of the Union, Dec 23, 2023, Republicans have recently called out the significant increase in homelessness in the United States, with a record spike of 12 percent this year, particularly affecting families and unaccompanied youths. The surge in homelessness is attributed to the high cost of living brough on by the current administration.

“The sharpest rise in homelessness was among people in families with children — this measure rose by 15.5 percent,” The Epoch Times wrote.

“Next was homelessness among unaccompanied youths, which increased by 15.3 percent.”

“The latest estimate indicates that people becoming homeless for the first time were behind much of the increase,” The Associated Press noted. A rise in family homelessness ended a downward trend that began in 2012 under Obama.

Many have taken notice of the impact of illegal immigration (to the tune of 20,000 per month) on exacerbating the homelessness crisis.

“To me, the story is the migrant crisis,” researcher Dennis Culhane stated.

“Even without the migrant crisis we would have seen some increase, but certainly not to this extent.”

The Biden administration has additionally been prioritizing illegal immigrants over American citizens, leading to strained taxpayer resources. The crisis has become a dire issue, with concerns about public safety and the potential for the entire country to be affected.

“The most significant cause is Bidenomics which has left many Americans living paycheck to paycheck and one crisis away from homelessness,” Jeff Olivet, the executive director of the Interagency Council on Homelessness, said.
