Why Is Biden On The Side Of The Terrorists? (Part 2)

In 2008 there was a skeptical eye cast on some in the conservative punditocracy that believed Biden was required by Obama to convert to Islam before he could be selected as Obama's Veep. But In light of Biden's consistent favoritism of radical Islam, (with Biden's Afghanistan surrender and his siding with Hamas as best examples of his Islamic credentials), today even the most casual political observer would have no problem believing that Biden is a Muslim. Redstate, March 24, 2024. According to a new report, Israel has agreed to release 700 prisoners in exchange for 40 hostages being held by Hamas. Among the criminals set to be released are 100 serving life sentences for capital crimes. That means terrorists who murdered innocent women and children in cold blood.

On the surface, this seems like a horrible deal, and it was a Biden administration official at the forefront of negotiating it.

It doesn't appear Hamas made any concessions to secure what is nearly a doubling of prisoners released compared to the Paris proposal, which the terrorist government refused to even respond to. In a sane world, it would be Hamas being pressured by the international body to come to the table and lower its demands. Instead, Israel is bearing the brunt, having to do a delicate tap-dance between isolating allies and accomplishing its military goals.

This process is so perverted. Why are the United States, Egypt, and Qatar even accepting the premise that murderous terrorists should be released in exchange for hostages? One of the reasons there is never a lasting peace regarding the Palestinians is that they are continually babied on the world stage, given concessions they don't deserve in exchange for false promises they never keep.

With all that said, and while I think the deal is bad regardless, there may be a secondary calculation in the works. Namely, getting as many hostages out as possible before they invade Rafah, the last remaining Hamas stronghold. Perhaps Israel believes it can take care of most of the released terrorists on the field of battle, limiting the damage done by the out-of-proportion swap.

Of course, while this tentative deal exists, it doesn't mean Hamas will abide by it. They've continually broken every ceasefire they've been given, and they've played games with the hostages throughout this ordeal. In the end, their destruction is the only thing that truly ends the hostilities. Israel knows that, and I suspect they have no intentions of calling off the final blow.

Townhall, March 25, 2024. Biden and his entire administration are facing backlash after the United States refused to vote against a United Nations resolution Monday demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza without the release of hostages being held by Hamas.

Republican Senator Ted Cruz is blasting the cowardice, arguing Biden's wavering in the face of terrorism not only isolates a western ally, but puts U.S. national security at risk.

“Joe Biden and Biden officials have sought to undermine Israel and boost Hamas since the earliest days of the administration. They suspended anti-terrorism sanctions so they could pour millions of dollars of American taxpayer money into the Gaza Strip, which they acknowledged would go to Hamas, and they stopped enforcing oil sanctions against the Iranian regime, so the Ayatollah could raise billions of dollars more and send them directly to Hamas," Cruz released in a lengthy rebuke. “Biden officials called on Israel to stand down in the opening hours of October 7, as Hamas terrorists were engaged in mass murder, including the murder and kidnapping of dozens of Americans. They were temporarily shamed into publicly supporting Israel as the scope of the atrocities became undeniable. Now that Israel is on the verge of utterly eradicating Hamas, administration officials are reversing that support and restoring their policy of open hostility toward our Israeli allies."

“Today's resolution is a capitulation to and victory for Hamas. It reverses what the Biden administration said was its policy linking a ceasefire to the release of hostages, even while Hamas is still holding hostages, including American hostages. It does not acknowledge let alone condemn the atrocities of October 7, the worst one-day massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. It includes vague pro forma language calling for a release of hostages, which is designed to be ignored by Hamas and will be ignored. Indeed, today’s resolution will further entrench Hamas: the terrorist group and its Iranian backers committed the atrocities of October 7 precisely because they counted on the Biden administration to pressure Israel to let Hamas win, and today the Biden administration shamefully confirmed their calculation. They will continue deepening their intransigence and widening their violence as long as they see such American pressure mounting," he continued.
