Townhall, July 29, 2024. The crisis at the southern border will go down as one of the worst things the U.S. has seen under President Joe Biden’s term.
Despite tens of millions of illegal immigrants entering the U.S. and innocent Americans being killed by criminal illegal aliens, Vice President Kamala Harris indicated she wouldn’t change a thing if elected. This is the first indication that the border crisis will continually get worse if new leadership (former President Donald Trump) doesn’t step in.
During an interview with CBS News, Harris’s campaign manager, Julie Chavez Rodriguez, said the presumptive Democratic nominee would keep Biden’s current border plan. In July 2021, Harris was appointed to fix the border Czar to fix the "root causes" of illegal immigration. She introduced a five-point general strategy plan. However, it failed to include policies that would actually stop illegal aliens from entering the nation’s interior. Instead, her plan focused on “diplomacy, foreign assistance, public diplomacy, and sanctions" to "establish a fair, orderly, and humane immigration system (continuation of an open border).”
Each year the Biden-Harris Administration was in office, the southern border set new records with the unprecedented number of immigrants crossing the country’s border. During Biden and Harris’ time in office, there were more than 4.31 million recorded illegal crossings (so far) between FY 2021 and FY 2024.
Breitbart, July 29, 2024. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) told Jake Tapper Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that as president, Kamala Harris will work with Congress to “create a pathway to citizenship.” For the perhaps 20 million Illegal Aliens in the United States
Tapper said, I don’t need to tell you voters overwhelmingly disapprove of how the Biden-Harris administration has handled the border by giving the (Republican) nomination to one of the leaders of the close the border effort. So, aren’t democrats doubling down on one of your party’s biggest vulnerabilities and leading Democrats to a disaster in November?” Warren simply continued in a vigorous spin defense of the Biden-Harris border failure and avoided answering his question.
